Ingredients for Halloumi with Tomatoes
225 grams of halloumi cheese from any company you prefer, cut into long strips1.
Tomatoes cut into medium-thick slices
Italian spices
A little salt
Pepper to taste
A sprinkle of sumac
A little olive oil
The method
My method is to divide the pan into two sections: one for the halloumi cheese and the other for the tomatoes. This makes it easier for me to add salt to the tomatoes without adding it to the cheese.
Olive oil is placed in the pan and heated slightly.
Then the tomatoes are placed in the pan, taking care to avoid the oil splattering.
Then halloumi cheese is added
Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
The tomatoes and halloumi are stir-fried on both sides, taking care not to let the oil splatter from the pan, until the cheese and tomatoes are browned, then the heat is turned off.
