Versatile tomato sauce – delicious, easy, and quick

In this versatile tomato sauce recipe, you’ll learn how to prepare a delicious, all-purpose sauce that can be used immediately with pasta, pizza, or even eggs for shakshuka. It’s quick to make, easy to store in the refrigerator, and will save you a lot of time and effort in the kitchen.
Versatile Tomato Sauce Ingredients
This quantity is enough for approximately two dishes.
- One medium onion, roughly chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- Two cloves of crushed garlic
- one tablespoon of tomato paste
- a pinch of salt
- A sprinkle of Italian seasoning
- A pinch of cayenne pepper
- A sprinkle of black pepper
- Slices of red chili pepper
- A little olive oil
How to Make the Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a suitable pot over the fire.
- Add the onions and garlic and stir until they soften and the onions begin to turn slightly red.
- Add the tomato paste and stir for two minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, spices, salt and pepper, then stir the mixture for three minutes.
- The entire cooking process takes only about five minutes.
- Turn off the heat and leave the sauce aside to rest for a bit.
We turn off the fire and leave the use immediately aside to rest for a little while.
